Baseball — Nate Hewes reaches with two outs in the seventh inning before an infield hit by Jeremy Gillard and back-to-back bloop singles by Patrick Rydeen and Jake Schmiesing leads to an improbable two-run rally as the Stillwater baseball team tops Hill-Murray 5-4 to claim the Section 4AAA championship.
Girls golf — The Stillwater girls’ golf team shoots 15 shots better on Day 2 to finish in sixth place with a total of 715 at the Class AAA state tournament at Bunker Hills. Sophomore Cassie Deeg shoots matching 82s to finish in 12th place with a score of 164.
Softball — Seniors Callie Dahl and Taylor Stippel are chosen to represent Stillwater in the Minnesota High School All-Star Girls Softball Series in North Mankato. The event includes 72 of the top senior softball players in the state.
Boys golf — Hudson Carpenter and Drew Lynch each shoot 154 to finish 17th in the individual standings as the Stillwater boys’ golf team places eighth in the Class AAA state tourney at Bunker Hills.
