A crash involving a semi truck in the westbound lane of Highway 36 took place around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The trailer of the semi had tipped on its side and blocked most of the westbound lane. The trailer appeared to be empty at the time of the crash. The cab of the truck appeared to have burned after the crash.
At this time, no information about the status of the driver has been released.
The eastbound lane of Highway 36 is open to traffic. Agencies from across the county assisted in blocking access to the closed intersection.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash will take hours to clear. Traffic, including other semi trucks, was rerouted through Stillwater and surrounding cities.
