The Rogers baseball team (11-13) will play No. 3-seeded Hopkins (18-6) in the opening round of the Class 4A state tournament tomorrow at CHS Field. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
The winner will play the winner of No. 2 Blaine (21-3) and New Prague (16-8) in the semifinals on June 15 at CHS Field at 5:30 p.m. The Blaine-New Prague game will take place at CHS Field prior to the Rogers-Hopkins game. That game is set for 2:30 p.m.
The loser between Rogers and Hopkins drops into the consolation semifinals against the loser between Blaine and New Prague at the University of Northwestern in St. Paul on June 15 at 12:30 p.m.
The consolation championship is at Northwestern on June 15 at 3 p.m. and the third place game is June 15 at 5 p.m. at CHS Field. The Class 4A state championship is Thursday, June 20 at 7 p.m. at Target Field in Minneapolis.
On the top half of the bracket, it is No. 1 seed Stillwater (22-2) versus Eden Prairie (17-7) and No. 4 seed Mounds View (18-6) versus No. 5 seed East Ridge (18-6).
Tickets for the state tournament are $11 for adults and $7 for students.
There'll be a sendoff for the baseball team at Rogers High School at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow.
