The St. Michael-Albertville High School girls tennis team beat Armstrong in recent action.
“Armstrong was a very good team,” Coach Tyler Creelman said. “They were 15-4 overall coming into the match. We played great in doubles and well in singles. They had a very tough singles lineup and we were able to get Brooke Beck at #3 singles to win and then got all the doubles.”
Creelman said his team is starting to play its best tennis right now.
“We talked about all year being ready for playoffs and playing our best then,” he said. “We play #1 Seed Wayzata in the section semis at baseline tennis center. It will be a great test for us and I believe if we play our best we have a great chance to win. We are looking forward to the challenge. They are very good.”
