Northwest Alpine boys skiing brings back most of its 5A section starting lineup from a year ago.

Blake Quall, Christian Burfeind, Colin Burfiend, Will Klabunde and Jackson Holst are all back.

Quall took 10th overall at last season’s section meet in a combined time of 1:02.51.

Quall debuted in a Northwest Suburban Conference meet on Dec. 18 at Wild Mountain and was seventh overall with a combined time of 1:14.24, including a 34.07 on the blue course.

Christian Burfeind was 51st with a combined time of 1:14.5, and Colin Burfeind was 61st in 1:20.34.

Colin Burfeind has already bested his time this season on Dec. 18. He took third overall in a combined time of 1:13.34, including a 36.2 on the blue course.

Christian Burfeind was 22nd on Dec. 18 in 1:22.25, including a 39.58 time on the blue course.

Klabunde took 64th at sections with a combined time of 1:21.14, and Holst was 74th with a combined time of 1:34.96.

Both skiers look to get back toward that time but started this season a little slower on Dec. 18. Holst was 70th in 2:00.69 with a time of 49.43 on the red course, and Klabunde was 79th in 2:16.68 with a time of 49.25 on the red course.

Peter Melby, William Karkoc, Ben Kiesow, Reese Levendusky and Thomas Beskow are also on the team this season.

Melby had a combined time of 1:31.46 in his season debut on Dec. 18, finishing 41st. He was fastest on the blue course in 45.37.

Karkoc was next on Dec. 18 in 45th with a combined time of 1:32.69, including a 45.92 time on the red course.

Kiesow took 62nd on Dec. 18 in 1:52.65. His fastest time was on the blue course in 54.73. Levendusky was 81st on Dec. 18 in 2:21.47.

Beskow had a time of 45.02 on the red course on Dec. 18 but was disqualified on the blue course.

Alec Berquist graduated. He was 68th at sections with a combined time of 1:25.11.

Northwest Alpine is a co-op consisting of Park Center, Osseo, Maple Grove and Rogers skiers.
