Franke L. Hardie

Franke Lewis Hardie, 63, passed away unexpectedly on August 8th, 2019 in his home in Phoenix, AZ. Franke was born to parents Richard and Joanna on December 4th, 1955 at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC. He graduated from Rockford High School in 1974. Franke lived in Albertville and Monticello, MN for many years before moving to Arizona in 2014. Franke was known for his love of sports, fishing, cooking and family. As an avid Minnesota sports fan, he was still waiting for his beloved Vikings to win a Superbowl. He enjoyed watching his son’s children grow and was looking forward to walking his daughter down the aisle in April. Preceded in death by his father, Richard “Dick” Hardie and his stepfather, Sherwood “Fred” Yount. Survived by his mother, Joanna Yount; his two children, Chris (Rachael) Hardie and Karina (Charlie Erlandson) Hardie; two grandchildren, Joseph and Carson; siblings Michael Hardie, Shari (Danny) Hermosillo, Sherwood (Martina) Yount Jr., and Melissa (Jeff) Wolseth; as well as nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be on August 28, 2019 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Monticello V.F.W

I can't believe he's gone. He was such a good friend to Jerry and me. Oh what laughs we had and we will miss them. I remember him singing Karaoke and boy could he belt out a song ! Franke, we miss you but you'll be in our hearts and memories forever. RIP good friend.
