The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city during the week of July 28 to Aug. 3, 2019. Refer to the city’s website Crime Mapping Section for additional details for the crimes of burglary, robbery, arson, theft and vehicle theft.

Sunday, July 28

9500 block of Blackoaks Lane — There was a report of disorderly conduct. Officer responded and found individual had dispute with employee over service provided at business. The party left the scene without further incident.

7600 block of Everest Lane — There was a report of suspicious activity. Officer made contact and found unknown male had run through homeowner’s back yard. The individual was located at a nearby residence and stated he had taken a shortcut through the yard due to the rain.

I-94 & Maple Grove Parkway — An officer on routine patrol stopped a vehicle for driving conduct.  Contact with the 22-year-old male driver indicated signs of impairment. He was arrested for DWI, open bottle and possession of controlled substance.

Monday, July 29

12500 block of 74th Ave. — There was a report of a medical. Officer responded and found adult female had fallen with injury; provided assistance until paramedics arrived to transport victim to hospital for further care.

7700 block of Lawndale Lane — There was a report of an animal complaint. Officer responded and found duck with injured leg in driveway of residence. It was transported to the Wild Life Rehabilitation Center for care.

62nd Place & Hemlock Lane — There was a report of a vehicle fire. Officer responded and found small fire on underside of motor, which was extinguished. The owner was provided a ride to his workplace nearby.

A 44-year-old male was cited for DWI, open bottle, and alcohol in city park on the 16500 block of 96th Ave.

A 20-year-old male was cited for fifth degree possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, license plates, open bottle, and liquor possession under age of 21 at Hemlock Lane and 82nd Ave.

Tuesday, July 30

13800 block of 84th Place — There was a report of suspicious activity. Officer made contact with individual who had received phone call scam. No monetary loss and company was notified of occurrence.

8000 block of Jefferson Hwy. — There was a report of an unwanted person. Officer responded and found two unauthorized females refused to leave business. They were issued trespass notices and left the scene without further incident.

9800 block of Revere Lane — There was a report of vandalism. Officer responded and found building at playfield had been damaged. The incident is under investigation.

A 64-year-old male was cited for assault on the 9400 block of Union Terrace Lane.

Wednesday, July 31

9400 block of Dunkirk Lane — There was a report of disorderly conduct. Officer responded and found female had been harassed by a male party in the parking lot of business. The 59-year-old male suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct.

9400 block of Jefferson Hwy. — There was a report of theft. Officer made contact and found credit card had been stolen from wallet. No positive identification of suspect.

9600 block of Grove Circle — There was a report of an unwanted person. Officer made contact and advised the individual of repercussions if they did not follow requests by staff to leave the premise. No further assistance needed.

A 52-year-old female was cited for warrant arrest, possession of hypodermic syringe or needle, and possession of controlled substance on the 8000 block of Wedgewood Lane.

A 49-year-old male was cited for warrant arrest, possession of hypodermic syringe or needle, and possession of drug paraphernalia on the 8000 block of Wedgewood Lane.

A 20-year-old male was cited for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia at Hemlock Lane and Main St.

Thursday, Aug. 1

14400 block of Weaver Lake Road — There was a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer made contact with individual who appeared to be sleeping in vehicle parked outside of business. The adult male stated he had a verbal disagreement at home and was taking time away. Advised of other options for the remainder of the evening.

Elm Creek Blvd. & Hwy. 169 — There was a report of recovered property. Officer responded and found personal items belonged to individual in another jurisdiction. Upon returning them to the owner, the victim discovered vehicle had been stolen from garage.

11800 block of 80th Ave. — There was a report of theft from a vehicle. Officer made contact and found portable power pack had been stolen overnight from unlocked vehicle in parking lot. No suspect information.

Friday, Aug. 2

8800 block of County Road 101 — There was a report of juvenile problem. Officer responded and found group of juveniles had been banging on doors and ringing doorbells in neighborhood. They were located nearby and parents advised.

7400 block of Shenandoah Lane — There was a report of an animal complaint. Officer responded and found motionless snake in homeowner’s yard. Advised it was most likely sunbathing; assisted in moving it away.

10600 block of Lancaster Lane — There was a report of a medical. Officer responded and found individual in pain due to previous injury; assisted with aid until paramedics arrived to transport victim to hospital for further care.

A 53-year-old male was cited for DUI, DWI, and careless driving on the 9600 block of Grove Circle N.

A 22-year-old male was cited for reckless discharge of a firearm on the 9100 block of Upland Lane.

A 21-year-old female was cited for liability for crimes of another on the 9100 block of Upland Lane.

Saturday, Aug. 3

300 block of W. Eagle Lake Drive — There was a report of a noise complaint. Officer responded and found group of young people at residence had caused a disturbance. Advised of city ordinance to which they complied; there were no further issues.

6700 block of Evergreen Lane — There was a report of an animal complaint. Officer responded and found raccoon had been captured at residence. Assisted in transporting the animal safely into the woods nearby.

12200 block of Elm Creek Blvd. — There was a report of identity theft. Officer made contact and found individual’s credit card had been stolen while at business with subsequent fraudulent transactions occurring. The incident is under investigation.

A 26-year-old male was cited for terroristic threats and carrying a weapon without a permit at I-694 and Hemlock Lane.

Other

During this time period there were 26 property damage traffic accidents and two property damage injury traffic accidents.
