The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city during the week of Oct. 20 to 26, 2019. Refer to the city’s website Crime Mapping Section for additional details for the crimes of burglary, robbery, arson, theft and vehicle theft.

Sunday, Oct. 20

83rd Way & Grove Drive — An officer on routine patrol made contact with driver of vehicle for traffic violation. The 27-year-old female showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for fourth degree DWI.

12200 block of 62nd Ave. — There was a report of a neighbor complaint. Officer made contact and found resident had blown leaves into the street while clearing yard. Advised of ordinance and party agreed to comply.

18400 block of 63rd Place — There was a report of identity theft. Officer made contact and found credit card had been opened in victim’s name with subsequent fraudulent transactions. The incident is under further investigation.

A 19-year-old female was cited for theft and trespass notice served on the 9400 block of Dunkirk Lane.

A 57-year-old female was cited for interfering with a 911 call and obstructing the legal process on the 8300 block of Rice Lake Road.

Monday, Oct. 21

12000 block of 71st Place — There was a report of a civil matter. Officer made contact and found there had been a verbal disagreement between a couple due to possession of pets. Advised to find peaceful resolution.

18300 block of 95th Place — There was a report of theft. Officer responded and found pumpkins and a scooter had been stolen from outside of residence. No suspect information.

13400 block of Grove Drive — There was a report of a gas no pay. Officer made contact and found suspect had drove from the scene without paying for gas. Follow-up being conducted.

A 36-year-old male was cited for DUI, DWI, failure to obey traffic control device, left turn made from wrong lane, and careless driving at County Road 81 and Hemlock Lane.

Tuesday, Oct. 22

10000 block of Union Terrace — There was a report of a theft from a vehicle. Officer responded and found a lunchbox, flashlight and other miscellaneous items were stolen from two vehicles parked overnight in driveway of residence. No suspect information.

16600 block of 92nd Ave. — There was a report of a noise complaint. Officer responded and found individual stated resident in apartment overhead was causing excessive noise. The party was notified of the call and stated he would contain his dog who was causing the disturbance. No violation of ordinance found.

12700 block of Elm Creek Blvd. — There was a report of fraud. Officer responded and found a 31-year-old male had left business without paying his bill. The suspect was cited for theft of services and trespassed from the business.

Wednesday, Oct. 23

7200 block of Forestview Lane — There was a report of a welfare check. Officer responded and found adult male asleep in vehicle parked outside of business. He stated he was waiting for a friend. There were no issues.

East Fish Lake Road & Robin Road — There was a report of vandalism. Officer responded and found graffiti had been spray painted on stop sign. No suspect information.

16300 block of County Road 30 — There was a report of threats. Officer responded and found possible threats had been made due to verbal dispute between customer and staff. No charges pursued.

A 22-year-old female was cited for DUI, DWI, open bottle and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle at Weaver Lake Road and Jonquil Lane.

Thursday, Oct. 24

15600 block of Grove Circle — There was a report of an unwanted person. Officer responded and found two homeless individuals living in their vehicle. Advised the business requested they move on. Provided resource information.

9600 block of Minnesota Lane — There was a report of mail theft. Officer made contact and found homeowner had rebates and a box of clothing stolen that were to have been delivered. No suspect information.

12800 block of Elm Creek Blvd. — There was a report of a disturbance. Officer responded and found intoxicated adult female was causing a scene inside the business. She was escorted out and left with a family member. No charges.

A 29-year-old was cited for assault and disorderly conduct on the 7800 block of Garland Lane.

Friday, Oct. 25

11600 block of 84th Ave. — There was a report of fraud. Officer made contact with the victim who reported fraudulent transactions had occurred on his credit card. No suspect information.

16600 block of 92nd Ave. — There was a report of a domestic. Officer responded and found adult male and female had been involved in a verbal altercation. No evidence that it became physical. No charges pursued.

9400 block of Dunkirk Lane — There was a report of shoplifting. Officer responded and found adult female had stolen merchandise from store. The suspect was arrested for misdemeanor theft and trespassed from the business.

Saturday, Oct. 26

10800 block of Quaker Lane — There was a report of damage to property. Officer responded and found homeowner had heard disturbance outside of residence. An object had been thrown at the home and damaged the siding. The suspects had then driven off in vehicle. No further information available.

13900 block of Grove Drive — There was a report of forgery. Officer responded and found customer had attempted to make a purchase with counterfeit bill. The suspect had left the scene. No further information available.

8000 block of Wedgewood Lane — There was a report of shoplifting. Officer responded and found a 25-year-old female and a 30-year-old female had stolen merchandise from the store. They both were arrested for felony theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 40-year-old male was cited for assault on the 6500 block of East Fish Lake Road.

Other

During this time period there were 32 property damage traffic accidents and two property damage injury traffic accidents.
