The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city during the week of May 26 to June 1. Refer to the city’s website Crime Mapping Section for additional details for the crimes of burglary, robbery, arson, theft and vehicle theft.
Sunday, May 26
I-494 & Bass Lake Road — An officer on routine patrol observed erratic driving behavior of vehicle. Contact with the 34-year-old male driver revealed signs of intoxication, he was arrested for DWI and Careless Driving.
Lawndale Lane & 68th Ave. — There was a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer responded and found the occupant was a private investigator who was working a case. There were no issues.
7800 block of Yucca Lane — There was a report of neighbor trouble. Officer made contact with two individuals involved who had a verbal dispute regarding a parking issue. Advised to avoid further contact.
A 42-year-old male was cited for felony domestic assault on the 12700 block of 82nd Place N.
A 23-year-old male was cited for fifth degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at I-94 and Weaver Lake Road.
A 31-year-old female was cited for theft on the 9400 block of Dunkirk Lane N.
Monday, May 27
15000 block of 64th Ave. — There was a report of loud music. Officer made contact with homeowner who stated her son had been playing the drums but she had asked him to stop. Advised of the noise ordinance.
I-94 & Weaver Lake Road — An officer on routine patrol observed equipment violation on vehicle. Contact was made with the driver whereupon it was noted the odor of marijuana. The adult male was arrested for degree possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
9400 block of Dunkirk Lane — There was a report of a shoplifter. Officer responded and the adult female was arrested for theft.
A 29-year-old male was cited for DUI, DWI, careless driving, and speeding at I-94 and Weaver Lake Road.
Tuesday, May 28
15700 block of Grove Circle — There was a report of a theft from a vehicle. Officer made contact with the victim who stated license plate was stolen from his vehicle and he had been notified it was used in gas drive-off. No suspect information.
13900 block of Grove Drive — There was a report of disorderly conduct. Officer responded and found verbal argument among a group of males had begun to escalate into a physical fight. One suspect, a 20-year-old mael, was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstruct legal process. No other charges were pursued.
7900 block of Wedgewood Lane — There was a report of shoplifting. Officer responded and found suspect had stolen vacuum cleaner from business and left in vehicle. The incident is under investigation.
A 53-year-old female and a 24-year-old female were each cited for domestic assault and disorderly conduct on the 6400 block of Sycamore Lane N.
Wednesday, May 29
17000 block of 96th Ave. — There was a report of suspicious activity. Officer responded and found vehicle had been driving slowly around the neighborhood. Contact was made with the two occupants of the car who said they were have a discussion. There were no problems.
93rd Ave. & Upland Lane — There was a report of vandalism. Officer responded and found vulgar graffiti had been spray painted in bike trail tunnel. No suspect information.
9800 block of Maple Grove Parkway — There was a report of a male passed out in a vehicle in parking lot of a business. Contact was made with the individual who showed signs of impairment. Evidence of drugs were found, along with paraphernalia, the 30-year-old male was arrested.
A 31-year-old male was cited for DUI, DWI, obstructing the legal process, and careless driving a Arbor Lakes Parkway and Main St. N.
A 20-year-old female was cited for display another driver’s license, warrant arrest, theft and false name to a police officer on the 12400 block of Elm Creek Blvd. N.
A 41-year-old female was cited for domestic assault and interfering with a 911 call on the 7200 block of Forestview Lane N.
A 23-year-old male was cited for disorderly conduct and domestic assault on the 12200 block of 62nd Ave. N.
Thursday, May 30
6700 block of Vicksburg Lane — There was a report of a fight. Officer responded and found an argument between two groups of people had escalated into a physical altercation. The incident is under investigation for possible charges.
9000 block of Tewsbury Gate — There was a report of a juvenile problem. Officer responded and found a large group had obstructed the roadway in the area of ongoing road construction with a dirt jump. Advised to play in another area.
9800 block of Hospital Drive — There was a report of an unwanted person. Officer responded and found three individuals were causing a disturbance at business and refusing to leave. After repeated requests, the parties left the scene with further incident.
Friday, May 31
7100 block of Annapolis Circle — There was a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer made contact and found vehicle had been observed driving slowly through neighborhood. It was discovered the driver was delivering papers.
15300 block of Grove Circle — There was a report of shoplifting. Officer responded and found 50-year-old female had stolen items and left the business. The suspect was arrested for theft and trespassed from the store.
11300 block of Fountains Drive — There was a report of a welfare check. Officer made contact and found concerns regarding family asking for money in business parking lot. The adult male present was advised of city ordinance and offered resource information.
Saturday, June 1
7100 block of Hemlock Lane — There was a report of a found child. Officer responded and learned that a small child had wandered away from father and siblings in nearby park but had been reunited. There was no further assistance needed.
9600 block of Alvarado Lane — There was a report of a disturbance. Officer made contact and found individual stated group of people on balcony were causing a disturbance. It was noted that they were not in violation of city ordinance. Advised the individual to contact mediation if ongoing issues.
16000 block of County Road 30 — There was a report of suspicious activity. Officer made contact and found group of juveniles had been observed pushing a shopping cart containing a bicycle and scooter across a parking lot located some distance away from the business. Unable to locate.
A 41-year-old male was cited for DUI, DWI, careless driving, and failure to drive in single lane at I-94 and 49th Ave. N.
A 29-year-old male was cited for DUI, DWI and neglect or endangerment of a child at Maple Grove Parkway and County Road 81.
During this time period there were 21 property damage traffic accidents and three property damage injury traffic accidents.
