There’s beer, and there’s Short or Tall beer.

What makes the newest Rogers restaurant’s suds so unique? Start with the $500,000 cooler suspended above the bar. That’s where you’ll find a state-of-the-art beer delivery system that manager David Marzorati said makes the restaurant’s beers taste so good.

“We have 120 kegs,” he said. “We have four beers batched in house, and 80 tap kegs with 64 flavors, and 52 of those are local.”

Other unique concepts from the establishment (Rogers is the only location) include a four-story outdoor fireplace and two-story heated year-round patio.

Oh, and then there’s the food. Short or Tall’s menu includes many standard items like hamburgers and pizza, but it would be disingenuous to say they are “just any burgers or pizza.”

For starters, all their burgers are fresh, custom blended hand pattied angus beef on a brioche roll. And there are many unique flavors, such as the “Hot 100” with habanero relish, pepper jack cheese, crispy onions and chipotle aioli. The “Jack and Coke” burger features “Smoky, sweet, spicy and a little boozy, pepper jack cheese, smoked brisket, pickled onions and whiskey cola BBQ sauce.”

The “Midnight Burger” touts “Blackberry chipotle jam, goat cheese, basil and grilled red onion.” There are even burgers with an Asian flare, such as “Just Thai It” and “Teriyaki Kick Burger.”

There are three kinds of sliders available: cheeseburger, fried chicken and BBQ brisket.

Anyone needing fries with their meal has many to choose from, including classic, sweet potato, maple and bacon sweet potato, jerk, truffle and parmesan and spicy cheddar.

Rounding out the menu are pizzas, flatbreads, chopped salads and desserts.

The establishment already has a regular in Mayor Rick Ihli, who lives within walking distance. “I’ve become a quick fan of their food!” he said.

While the opening was a couple weeks ago, Ihli and other dignitaries were invited to the Grand Opening Monday, Oct. 1.

The owner is Brian Conneran, who also owns the adjoining Holiday Inn Express and Suites. The location is 21050 135th Ave North, Rogers.
