Athletes from Brooklyn Center, Champlin Park, Cooper and Park Center ended their 2018 seasons at the state track and field tournament June 8 and 9, at Hamline University.

Brooklyn Center freshman Nayeli Williams took 16th place in the 300-meter hurdles competition with a time of 48.99 seconds.

Champlin Park’s Lauryn Samuel finished 15th in the 200-meter dash competition with a time of 27.70 seconds. Senior Jamillah Glassco finished 19th in the long jump competition with a leap of 16 feet and four inches, while taking 11th in the triple jump competition with a leap of 35 feet and 10.25 inches.

Cooper’s 4x100-meter relay team of junior Pedro Amoussou, sophomore Rashawn Keten, junior Nascier Borden and junior Corteze Henderson took 12th with a time of 43.41 seconds.

The Park Center boys took 30th place at the Class 2A state meet with 11 points.

The Park Center 4x200-meter relay team of sophomore Aaliyah Ragulen, eighth-grader Shadaizhalynn Chatman, eighth-grader Laubenra Benand seventh-grader Karlee Fischer took 15th place with a time of one minute and 46.60 seconds.

The Park Center 4x200-meter relay team of junior Dominic Feess, senior Stephen Ayobamidele, junior Bill Pouyo and senior Justin Naklen took fourth-place with a time of one minute and 29.49 seconds.

The Park Center 4x400-meter relay team of senior Clemon Groves, Naklen, Pouyo and senior Austin Peters took fifth-place with a time of three minutes and 24.60 seconds.
