Jeanette “Ann” Liegman, 85-year-old resident of Wahkon, MN, passed away on November 2, 2019 at the Mille Lacs Long Term Care Center in Onamia, MN. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on November 18, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Isle, MN with Pastor Mark Maunula officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to service at church. Arrangements are with the Shelley Funeral Chapel of Onamia. Jeanette “Ann” Lavoi was born March 14, 1934 in Fosston, Minnesota to the late Clifford and Viola (Swenson) Lavoi. Ann was united in marriage to Harold Liegman on June 3, 1956 in Fosston, MN. The couple raised their children in West Duluth where they enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling. In 1993, the couple retired to Wahkon, MN. Ann liked to spend her time gardening, watching the birds that would visit her feeders, and crocheting. She sewed, hemmed and mended many pieces of clothing for family throughout the years. Ann will be dearly missed by all. Ann is survived by her daughter, Holly Markel of Wahkon, MN; sons, Michael (Amy) Liegman of Zumbrota, MN, Timothy Liegman of Duluth, MN, and Patrick Liegman of Duluth, MN; brother, Phillip (Sandy) Lavoi of Green Valley, AZ; sisters, Jean (Fred) Berhow of Fertile, MN, Joyce (Dale) Matte of Wahkon, MN; grandchildren, David, Michael, and LeAnn; five great-grandchildren and one on the way in February; and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents, Clifford and Viola Lavoi; son, Scott; and her brother, Richard.
