Joshua Paul Wozniak, 27, Little Falls, is facing a felony charge in Morrison County District Court for allegedly fleeing police in a motor vehicle.
He is also facing two gross misdemeanor DWI charges.
The charges stem from a June 21 incident, when a Morrison County Sheriff’s Deputy spotted a vehicle speeding on First Avenue Southeast in Little Falls.
When the deputy followed the vehicle and activated his emergency lights and sirens, the vehicle allegedly accelerated.
After driving through stop lights, the vehicle eventually came to a stop and the driver was identified as Wozniak.
The deputy allegedly smelled alcohol when talking with Wozniak, who allegedly said he had drank a couple of beers that evening.
Wozniak allegedly performed poorly on field sobriety tests and a portable breath test showed his blood alcohol concentration as .177.
He was then arrested for driving while impaired and taken to the Morrison County Jail.
A breath test at the jail allegedly showed his blood alcohol concentration at .18.
Wozniak allegedly said he had driven about 60 miles per hour to get away from the deputy.
If convicted of the felony charge, Wozniak could face up to three years and one day in prison and/or a $5,000 fine.
