Two individuals were taken to the hospital Monday after their vehicles crashed into each other near Royalton.
At about 12:15 p.m., the Morrison County Sheriff's Office responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 93rd Street and 170th Avenue in Bellevue Township, four miles north of Royalton.
Shirley Matros, 64, Royalton, allegedly failed to yield at a stop sign as she was traveling north on 170th Avenue and Jeffrey Fisk's vehicle struck her in the intersection, the Morrison County Sheriff's Office said.
Both individuals were taken to CHI St. Gabriel's Hospital, with Matros being taken by Gold Cross Ambulance and Fisk by private vehicle.
Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed away, the Sheriff's Office said.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Minnesota State Patrol, Royalton Police Department, Royalton Fire & Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance.
