Pierz Healy High School is seeking photos — old and new — of the Pierz city and extended community.
As part of the remodel of the cafeteria/kitchen/commons area of Healy High School, the district is looking to show some Pierz history with a large collage of photos covering certain walls.
“This will serve as terrific inspiration, intrigue and values for all of our students and our staff and community members who pass through our schools,” said Pierz Schools Supt. George Weber.
“We would love any photos that our community members may have,” said Pierz Healy High Principal Karrie Boser.
Weber said the district is looking to access as many new and old photos that capture moments in time that represent the Pierz area.
“Please note this is not just city of Pierz, but all of our school district including the communities of Harding, Lastrup and Buckman, as well as all surrounding areas farmland, lake areas and any and all history of our area,” Weber said.
The district is asking residents to consider any and all photos or even stories that have personal and/or historical value.
“A generational family photo can be a representation of our community values. The old ways and new ways of harvesting, milking, building, driving using or not using technology from any given era also represents our history. It would be terrific to gather as many options as possible,” he said.
Photos can be emailed to Weber at email@example.com or to Boser at firstname.lastname@example.org. Photos can also be brought into the business office and staff can scan or take a photo of the image and return it to the owner immediately.
