The Magic swimming and diving team is the only Monticello High School fall sport that’s still in action. And they’re definitely worth dragging out a season for.
The team competed last on Monday, Oct. 21 in Sauk Rapids at the True Team Section Meet and have waited until now to dive back in to the competition.
The girls have already received the Mississippi 8 Conference Championship title and look forward to sections.
This year could mark the teams 16th straight 5A Section Championship which they hope to achieve at the tournament taking place tonight through Saturday, Nov. 9 at Sauk-Rapids-Rice High School – which they are very familiar with.
If the varsity team performs like they have in the past certain athletes will continue on to the state tournament which will take place on Nov. 14-16 at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center at a time that is to be determined at a later date.
