Senior diver Britney Krumrei took fifth place at the Minnesota State High School League diving state tournament at Jean K. Freeman Aquatics Center. The prelims and semifinals were on Wednesday, Nov. 16 with the finals taking place on Friday, Nov. 18.
She got off to a nice start during the prelims on Wednesday, holding onto eighth place with a score of 159.85. That put her comfortably inside the top 20 and a spot in the semifinals. After the semifinals were over, she was sitting in 11th place with 244.45. By the end of the finals, she jumped up into the top five with 345.65. Delano senior Avery Lommel was the state champ after putting up 380.65.
