A 21-year-old Monticello woman and her one-year-old passenger were transported to the Monticello hospital following a one-vehicle rollover Tuesday, June 4.
The rollover occurred on Interstate 94 at St. Michael.
Kayla Elizabeth Zavadil of Monticello was eastbound on I-94 at about 7 a.m. on June 4 in a 2002 Chevy Blazer. Zavadil was approaching stopped traffic and swerved to the right to avoid a crashing into a vehicle in front of her, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Zavadil lost control of her vehicle, went off the road to the right, and rolled down an embankment, the State Patrol stated.
Zavadil and her passenger, one-year-old Vincent Strommen of Monticello, were both taken to Monticello Hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
St. Michael Fire and Allina Ambulance assisted at the scene.
