The Monticello Tennis team traveled to Champlin Park High School to take part in a scrimmage on Monday Aug. 19, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The team looked ready to take on anything as players broke off and played on four tennis courts.

Fans and parents crowded around to see the competition.

Monticello, Buffalo, Rogers, and Champlin Park High School all competed at the Girls Tennis Varsity Quad.

Katy Horgen, the Monticello womens tennis head coach, was at the match giving the girls direction.

She has a lot of seniors to work with this year.

“We have a lot of seniors, so we have a lot of experience on the team,” Horgen said.

To name a few among the many Monticello athletes are Kalle Christianson, Hannah Mayer, Maddie Bjellos and Emma Cordell.

The Magic gears up to play on Aug. 27 at 3 p.m. against Delano at Monticello High School.
