Monticello adds another successful swim

Monticello battled and defeated Dassel-Cokato on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the Monticello Middle School pool.

Elsie Anselment won the 200-yard free in 2:06.73.

Grace Farsnworth and Emerson Brooks took first and second place in the 50-yard free with times of 24.95 and 26.13.

For diving Macey Morgan, Marina Brown, and Shelby Ergen took third fourth and fifth.

Farnsworth took first in the 100-yard fly and gave Monticello a lead of 52-42 overall in the meet.

Anselment (5:46.31) and Jade Kopff (5:52.55) took first in second in the 500-yard free after losing to Dassel-Cokato in the 100-yard free, resulting in a score of 67-59 Monticello.

Lorna Belchak and Summer Olson took first and second in the 100-yard backstroke with times of 1:05.58 and 1:09.90.

Monticello sealed the victory and defeated Dassel-Cokato with a final score of 96-88.

The girls dive in again tonight at Becker High School at 6 p.m.
