The Monticello Great River Soccer Club has started the soccer season and continues to create a better soccer experience for young athletes in Monticello, Big Lake, Becker and other communities alike.

The club kicked off play in June when it offered a new program, GRSC Summer Academy every Sunday. Soccer doesn’t start getting competetive until July, so the camp is meant to prepare athletes for the regular season competitions. All athletes born in 2010, 2011 and 2012 are welcome to join the GRSC recreational and be a part of competitive player evaluations.

The soccer program also partnered with Challenger Sports to host a five-day camp. June 10 through June 14 at the Bertram Park Fields.

Competitive soccer is heating up. The Monticello 10U and 12U teams just hosted a weekend tournament June 28 through the July 30.

Registration for the 2020 Competitive Soccer Evaluations is now open and the evaluations begin on July 14, 28, and 29.

Registration for the 2019 recreational soccer program is also underway. The season runs from July 15 to August 15 at Becker Athletic Complex. The season will consist of 10 sessions.
