Monticello School District is very pleased to introduce Heidi Nistler as the new Director of Special Education for the Sherburne and Northern Wright Special Education Cooperative. Nistler previously served as the Assistant Director of Special Education for the Shakopee Public Schools. Prior to that, she served as the Special Services Supervisor in the Shakopee District. Nistler graduated from MSU Mankato, and has gone on to add an Education Specialist Degree, and a Masters Degree in educational leadership.
Nistler replaces Allyson Kuehn, who gifted the district with three years of service and leadership, before leaving this summer to pursue a new opportunity.
“The Sherburne and Northern Wright Special Education Cooperative is an integral part of our school district and our community, and we are grateful that it will be under the stewardship of Ms. Nistler,” said Eric Olson. “She brings a wealth of experience and ability to the position, and we are confident she will serve this district well.”
Nistler started her position on Monday, Aug. 5.
“I am incredibly excited to join the Sherburne and Northern Wright Special Education Cooperative,” she said. “I have heard amazing things about the students, staff, families, and communities, and I am excited to partner with families in Monticello to meet the needs of our students.”
