Ashanti Guertin competed in the long jump Friday at the Minnesota State Track and Field Meet at Hamline University in St. Paul.

Ashanti recorded her best of three jumps on her final jump of the day when she recorded a jump of 16-04.50. She recorded a 15-08.50 on her first jump and a 15-07.75 on her second jump.

Ashanti’s jump of 16-04.50 did not allow her to advance from the preliminary round to the finals. She missed advancing to the finals by four spots.

The long jump was won by Rochester Mayo’s Annie Wendy with a jump of 18-08.50. Mia Sennes of Edina was second with a jump of 17-11.50. Third was Arianna  Passeri of Rosemount with a jump of 17-11.00.
