On August 7, Wright County Health and Human Services (WCHHS) hosted a picnic for foster care providers and the individuals in their care. This picnic took place at Sturges Park in Buffalo. The event was catered by Huikkos. It was a great success and people enjoyed their time together. The Wright County Sheriff attended and provided an emergency siren and lights demonstration and the Buffalo Fire Department provided fire truck tours. Wright County staff look forward to this event every year to be able to see everyone and because it provides a great atmosphere for families to connect with one another.
Foster providers open their hearts and homes to individuals who need support and care. They share their lives with children and/or adults who need their nurturing and guidance. If you think your family might be interested in helping others in this way, please let us know. Wright County is seeking individuals who live in Wright County and are willing to welcome children or vulnerable adults into their home.
