On Tuesday, Oct. 8 the Monticello (No. 6) defeated Central Minnesota Christian (No. 11) 8-0.
Jacob Keller scored his first and only goal of the game from 15 yards out with 37:31 left in the first half.
The next goal was scored by Mason Beaumaster and the assist by Riley Geyen-Helget with 36:23 left in the first half.
Fee and Johnson were up next with two goals within 30 seconds of each other. The Magic offense was on fire and the score was 4-0 with 5:06 left in the first half.
Lucas Johnson got the fifth goal of the game from the middle of the field with a defender right on him with an assist from Keller.
Going into half time the score was 5-0, but the Magic wasn’t done yet.
Out of the huddle Beaumaster scored his second goal of the game –sixth team goal of the game – and Martin Garr scored up the right side dribbling swiftly past two defenders.
Senior forward, Joe Koroll scored the final goal of the game with a little less than 3 minutes left.
The final score was a 8-0 shut-out.
The boys looked confident and ready to take on Holy Family on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 5 p.m. on the Holy Family Catholic High School soccer field.
They play again on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. against the winner of the Mound Westonka vs Orono game.
