The seventh annual Spass Tagen Festival will be held Saturday, June 22 at Missile Spark from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. in St. Bonifacius
The day is jammed pack with a variety of entertainment, activities and refreshments for visitors. Activities for children include Bingo, a free kid’s zone, free pony rides, live music, a magic show, a kiddie parade with prizes. For adults and children there will be a beer trailer, weiner dog races, city wide garage sales, a bean bag tournament, free face painting and a 5k color run. A silent auction sponsored by the St. Bonifacius Fire department Auxiliary will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Raffle drawings will also be held each hour from 12 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $3 each and will be sold at the event. Third place wins $100 cash, second place prize is $250 and the grand prize is $500 cash.
Live music will come from the Czech Concertina Group, the world’s largest Chemnitzer Concertina Club has 152 members and are currently a nonprofit organization. Their polka sound is a favorite among listeners. Their set is from 12 to 3 p.m. 73 Paces will perform from 7 to 11 p.m. The alternative group from Waconia features a three piece band that have been playing for the past 15 years. They play hits from the ‘70’s through today.
The city wide garage sales is sponsored by the St. Boni Area Community Development Group. Those interested in participating can sign up on the Spass Tagen website. The garage sales will continue all weekend from June 20-22.
