Mound’s Music in the Park event is back Thursday evenings with music and family fun. The six week summer series features local bands, which will provide unique experiences for listeners of all ages. The concerts take place at Surfside Park from 7-8:30 p.m., with the exception of DJ Tricky on Thursday, June 27 who will begin at 6:30 p.m.

KICK-OFF TO SUMMER BBQ - June 13

On Thursday, June 13 the summer will kick-off with a BBQ at 7 p.m. The event will feature music from The Tuxedo Band, games and classic barbeque foods. Listeners from all ages can enjoy the outdoor activities while the six member Twin Cities group plays with high energy and emotion in order to keep the dance floor full and rocking.

BEACH BASH WITH CHRIS KELLY BAND - June 20

The Beach Bash is back this year and is bringing back beach volleyball, a slip and slide as well as a raffle. The Chris Kelly Band is local to the Lake Minnetonka area. His influence comes from Dave Matthews, Michael Jackson and Ray Lamontagne. His acoustic driven sound offers originals and covers for listeners.

DJ DANCE PARTY WITH DJ TRICKY - June 27

DJ Tricky is back this year for an all ages set including a dance floor for dancers of all ages to move the summer night away.

ADULT NIGHT WITH THE ABIDERS - July 11

Adults looking to spend the night away from the children can enjoy Americana music focused on blued and rock’n’roll with a little taste of country. Their groovey sound will have all the adults up and moving.

YOUTH NIGHT WITH TRICIA AND THE TOONIES - July 18

This family friendly Toonies Family Fun Show features Tricia, Pete and their funny puppets. The show is set to engage audience members of all ages with their comedy routine, songs and audience participation.

YOUTH FOOTBALL NIGHT WITH THE RIVER VALLEY BAND - July 25

The series will conclude with the final concert at Surfside Park. The night is focused on the youth football players and serves as a kick-off to the football season with a game of pick up flag football and a visit from the Mound Westonka High School’s varsity football team.
