What has turned into an annual tradition for train lovers—and those who enjoy holiday lights—is returning to the Twin Cities in December.  The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is scheduled to pull into Union Station in St. Paul around 6:45 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10.

Shortly after the train arrives, the stage door will lower and live music will be performed by solo artist Willy Porter backed up by music performed by The Trews rock band, which is on its debut train tour. After the first song ends, there will be a brief presentation with local food bank officials and other dignitaries, then the band will resume performing a mix of traditional and modern holiday-themed songs for about a half hour.

The next day, on Tuesday, Dec. 11, the train will proceed down the tracks and make stops in New Hope, Golden Valley, St. Louis Park, Minneapolis and Loretto. The same show will be performed at each stop. (See the schedule below for exact times and locations).

The concerts are free, but attendees are asked to bring healthy food donations for their local food shelves. This year marks the 20th tour of the CP Holiday Train, which to date has raised $14.5 million and gathered 4.3 million pounds of food for communities along CP’s routes in Canada and the United States.

In addition to its stops in Minnesota, the CP Holiday Train will also be traveling through Canada, New York, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin and North Dakota.
