The University of Minnesota Extension, Anoka County Master Gardener Program is sponsoring the 2019 Home Landscaping and Garden Fair on Saturday, April 6, from 8:30 a.m.  to 3:30 p.m. at the Bunker Hills Activities Center, located at 550 Bunker Lake Blvd. Northwest in Andover. This event is open to the public where there will be seventeen classes taught by University educators, industry professionals, and Extension Master Gardeners. Content is geared for beginning through experienced gardeners. There is also a vendor fair featuring local garden centers, artisans, and related businesses.

Some of the popular topics this year include Winning Rose Cultivars with Professor David Zlesak, Herbs and Spices, Fruits and Berries, Tree Pruning, Garden Photography, Plants that Grow Under Shade Trees When Grass Won’t, Gardens of the Night, Plant Propagation, What’s Wrong with My Plant?, and Flower Arranging. Early-bird registration is $25 per person by Friday, March 29. Lunches can also be pre-ordered by that date; bag lunches are also welcome. Late registration/walk-ins will be accepted the day of the event for $30 per person. Parking is free. A material fee will be added only for the “Flower Arranging” workshops.
