Swim and dive team takes a loss to Stillwater headed into next week’s section meet

The Forest Lake Rangers swim and dive team lost 101-74 to Stillwater on Thursday, Oct. 27, in their only meet last week ahead of the Section 7AA Tournament on Thursday, Nov. 10, through Saturday, Nov. 12.

The Rangers recognized seniors Izzy Maloney, Sophia Niznik, Haley Bent, Maria Stockinger, Ally LaBelle and Emma Brasca at their meet against Stillwater.

Junior Delaney Nickles finished first in 1-meter diving with a score of 223.95. Junior Grace Chatwin (1:04.84), Bent (1:08.26) and freshman Megan Reid (1:08.54) finished first, second and third, respectively, in the 100-yard backstroke. Sophomore Grace True (1:12.40) and eighth grader Delaney Nilius (1:17.05) took first and second, respectively, in the 100-yard breaststroke.
