Free three-day festival raises funds for military and emergency personnel

Running Aces Casino, Hotel & Racetrack will host its inaugural Freedom Fest, a free festival on Sept. 27-29 created to honor and support military and emergency responders. The weekend of family-friendly events and activities will include carnival rides, an exotic petting zoo, face painting, games, and a featured Cruise for Troops event on Saturday the 28th.

On Saturday, Sept. 28, 17-year U.S. Army Veteran and country music artist Craig Morgan will headline the “Concert on the Track.” Opening acts include Jake Nelson and Hitchville. Fireworks will immediately follow the concert. General admission is $30 in advance and $40 day of event. VIP tickets are $60 in advance and $80 day of the event, which include access to a VIP pit and front row seating. 

All profits raised will go to the Invisible Wounds Project, a non-profit organization bringing awareness and help to military and emergency responders dealing with PTSD and mental illness.
