Restrictions ease once again

Adam and Jacky Norton of Forest Lake enjoy lunch at Forest Lake restaurant Don Julios on Tuesday, Jan. 12, one day after restrictions due to COVID-19 concerns were eased, including in-person dining services. On Wednesday, Jan. 6, Gov. Tim Walz announced a loosening of restrictions on restaurants and bars, youth sports, gyms, entertainment venues, and churches. Restaurants were allowed to open at 50% capacity, with no more than six people to a table, and parties must be six feet apart. A 10 p.m. service cutoff remains in place.
