The Forest Lake and Wyoming police departments took part in the law enforcement torch run for the Special Olympics of Minnesota on the morning of Friday, June 21. The Wyoming police department ran the torch down Highway 61 and met the Forest Lake police department at the border of the cities. From Wyoming, Police Chief Paul Hoppe, Officer John Roettger, Officer Scott Boecker, Reserve Officer Quinn Massey, Reserve Officer Evelyn Rodrique, and administrative assistant Lauren Studer participated in the torch run. From Forest Lake, participants included Chief Richard Peterson, Detective Nancy Carlson, Officer Nathan Olstad, Officer Trevor Johnson, Officer Josh Brown, Officer Brent DeGroot, Officer Megan Olstad, Officer Ashlee Glem, Officer Jon Glader, administrative assistant Jess Racchini and intern Allison Edwards.
