Business-led network focuses on employment services
Anoka County Commissioners, county staff and members of the public attended a celebration of CareerForce’s rebranding on Sept. 18. CareerForce is a business-led network of private, public and nonprofit partners throughout Minnesota and offers career and employment services to both individuals and employers. Visitors and callers to CareerForce will see enhanced service delivery, an improved customer experience and streamlined employer services as the rollout continues over the following months.
“The rebranding to CareerForce was the result of extensive outreach to workforce system participants, workforce staff and others to determine how service can be enhanced and outcomes improved,” Commissioner Scott Schulte, chair of the Anoka County Board of Commissioners, said in a press release. “It was a partnership between counties across the state, the Minnesota Association of Workforce Boards, the Governor’s Workforce Development Board and the Department of Employment and Economic Development.”
Shirley Barnes, Crest View Senior Communities CEO and Workforce Development Board chair, noted how the services offered at CareerForce in Blaine and at other CareerForce locations across the state can put job seekers on paths that result in interesting, rewarding careers.
“CareerForce is the beginning of an enhanced journey to prosperity, it is a name that connotes the importance of every person served, and that every person should feel valued,” Barnes said.
