Christie Stang has been selected to lead the Professional Insurance Agents of Minnesota. Stang was installed as the association’s president late last year at the group’s board of directors meeting. She has served on the PIA Board since 2019.

Stang is an insurance agent at North Central Insurance Associates, where she has been helping insure those in the Elk River area since 1998. She attended Rocori High School and the University of Minnesota Duluth and continued her education after becoming a licensed agent by achieving her CISR and CPIA designations.

“Christie is very involved in her community as an ambassador with the Elk River Chamber of Commerce and she has served on the boards of other insurance groups which gives her the skills to lead PIA of Minnesota. We appreciate the experience and enthusiasm for insurance that Christie brings to the PIA Board of Directors. She has been an insightful member and we look forward to a successful year, “said Greg Sather, PIA’s executive vice president.
