David Rogers was recently recognized by Elk River Mayor John Deitz as Elk River’s Volunteer of the Month.
Rogers has been a member of the Elk River Lions Club for 12 years and has been recognized with the President’s Appreciation Award twice for event promotion and equipment maintenance.
He has spent countless hours as a park volunteer for Woodland Trails Regional Park since the 1990s, grooming cross-country ski trails, hiking trails, and clearing and maintaining other areas of the park during the summer months.
He also serves as a church council member, and he finds time to help raise money in the MS-150 bike event as well as participate in the annual leukemia bicycle fundraising event.
