David and I took a trip out to Salt Lake City way back when and was a 2 week vacation. One instance that I remember was when we were in Kansas city David was set on a $15 burger which was enormous. I told him that the burger was pretty big but he didn't care so he ordered it. He made a great attempt to eat this burger and man he tried but could not do it. We boxed his left over food and continued on our journey out to Salt Lake and as I got hungry later in the day I'd ask him if he was hungry which he said "NO!" We continued on to the point that I had to eat something and again asked Dave if he was hungry, he snapped at me and said, "We just ate!" and I laughed because of the way that he said it. Anyways for the 25 years that he lived with our family, we had many laughs and loved kidding with him about various things. He would always take it in stride and knew the jokes were all in good fun and he smiled at every single joke that was thrown his way. David was truly a one of a kind and am saddened about his passing. I'm glad that he was sent our way and that he spent the years with our family, as he became a part of our family. My deepest condolences to his family and to all that knew him. RIP BIG Dave and it was fun having you in our lives
