Gifts Anonymous celebrated 51 years of giving this past December. Volunteers for the effort are now busy thanking everyone who helped make the drive a success.

2021 effort serves 218 families and 544 children

Gifts Anonymous celebrated 51 years of giving this past December, and we would like to thank all the businesses, civic groups and residents who helped make this year’s event a success! With the help of so many this allowed us to carry out our mission of serving our neighbors during what can be a very difficult and uncertain time for many during the holidays. This year proved to be no different with the level of help which was needed and it actually was up a little higher than in years past. This year we served 218 families with a total of 544 children who live in Otsego and Elk River. We also provided a gift for over 100 seniors in our area who are in need by partnering with Meals on Wheels and CAER food shelf to distribute those gift bags.

So for everyone who hosted a barrel, dropped a toy in the barrel, dropped off monetary donations at The Bank of Elk River or helped sort and prepare for the shopping event, the Gifts Anonymous Board and myself say THANK YOU — we truly live in a great community and we are so grateful! — Jessica Stockamp, Gifts Anonymous President
