Approximately 30 Edina Realty agents will make the move across the Mississippi River from their Main Street office in Elk River to Otsego. Here some of them enjoy throwing some dirt at the groundbreaking ceremony.

Edina Realty, a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate, held a groundbreaking ceremony June 26 at the site of the future building for its new Otsego office at 8690 Parson Ave. NE, just off Highway 101 and County Road 39.

Otsego is a rapidly growing community, and this new office location was chosen for its convenient location in a developing commercial and retail neighborhood. Approximately 30 Edina Realty agents will make the short move across the river from the current Elk River office to the new office in Otsego. The new building is expected to be ready by the end of the year.

“This new 5,133-square-foot building will better meet the needs of our agents by helping facilitate stronger connections between agents and their clients, as well as face-to-face networking between agents,” said Kevin Bergstrom, managing broker of the current Elk River office and future Otsego office.

Edina Realty’s offices are also designed with the mobile agent in mind, since Edina Realty’s mobile tools enable agents to do business virtually anywhere, such as clients’ homes or neighborhood cafés.

The Otsego community has seen steady growth in recent years. The average sales price of a home in Otsego rose from $219,293 in April 2015 to $313,413 in April 2019, according to the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors.

Representatives from the Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce and city officials joined Edina Realty managers and Realtors for this ceremony.
