Shane Steinbrecher, the chair of the Elk River Area School Board, announced Monday night the Elk River Area School District will keep its current cooperative agreement with Sprectrum High School. Here is the statement Steinbrecher read:

"After much reflection, discussion with internal and external stakeholders, and strategic planning, the Board has decided to keep the current cooperative between ISD 728 and Spectrum in place.  The Board is thankful to ISD 728 staff, administration, families and community partners for their involvement, and willingness to share their thoughts and ideas.  Despite financial and time considerations discussed, the Board believes that its current agreement best aligns with the District’s mission and vision."
