Dear Editor:

We had a wonderful turnout, despite the rain, at the North Folk Winery. The tent was packed with people there to support the Rush City Education Foundation at their annual fundraiser.

The River Rats Dueling Pianos were a hit, and even had the audience dancing along. Superintendent William Campbell was presented with a check from the Rush City Sno Bugs and the Rush City Lions, to put toward our collaborative effort to raise funds for the Rush City High School Theater Upgrade.

Superintendent Campbell then issued the crowd a challenge that if we could raise $1,100 for a new spot light (two are needed) he would sing a song. Well, the crowd opened their wallets and exceeded the amount requested. He graciously paid his debt and it was a huge highlight of the night. Generous donors supplied the silent auction with many wonderful items, that were auctioned off to the highest bidder towards the end of the night.

We would like to thank all of the donors, staff at North Folk Winery, River Rats Dueling Pianos and also everyone who attended. We are able to give back to the school through fundraisers such as this.
