All are welcome to join at the Medvecky Farm from 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Oct. 17, to learn about interseeding cover crops in corn, soil health, pollinator conservation, Minnesota Agricultural Water Quality Certification Program and more.

The Medvecky Farm is located at 3300 285th Ave. NE, Isanti.

Farmers Dave and Bev will explain the ins and outs of implementing these practices on their lands and what they’ve learned through the process.

Isanti SWCD and NRCS will shed light on soil health, explaining nutrient cycles in the soil and practices that improve soil health.

Xerces Society will cover a variety of ways farmers can increase habitat for pollinators, ranging from flowering cover crops to native hedgerows and wildflower plantings. Funding opportunities for soil health and pollinator conservation practices will also be discussed.

There’s something for everyone at this exciting and informational event. This is a free event, rain or shine, so dress for the weather. Bring a friend or neighbor and any questions you may have. Coffee and refreshments will be served.

If you are unable to attend but still interested in discussing conservation, contact Thomas Zimmermann at or 763-689-3271.
