Proposed Caravan Route

The route will begin at the Olson Farm, 39853 Forest Blvd., North Branch. The Caravan will leave the Olson Farm at 10 a.m. heading south on County Road 30, to County Road 17.

The Caravan will turn west to the first Pit Stop at the Tesoro facility.

Back on the trail, the group will head east on County Road 17 joining back up with County Road 30, where it will turn south.

The Caravan will turn to the northwest on County Road 18, continuing to County Road 14 where it will make a left turn. It will travel to County Road 72 where it will turn east and travel to the John Ekstrom farm for the second pit stop.

From there the group will continue east to County Road 72 and County Road 11 where it will go north on County Road 70, proceeding to the Snow Barons snowmobile racing facility and the third pit stop.

People from the snowmobile club will be there to greet us and give us guided tours of the facility. Leaving the snowmobile complex, the Caravan will travel north on County Road 70 where it will cross Highway 95 and head to County Road 81 and turn east to the fourth pit stop, hosted by Joanne Johnson on the summit of Amador Hill.

When leaving Joanne’s farm, be sure to put your tractor into a lower gear as the road will be on a very steep decline. As the road flattens and turns north, the Caravan will make a slight right turn onto County Road 12 that will take us to down town Almelund, where it will head east on Maple Drive to our last pit stop, at the Amador Heritage Center.

The Center will be open for all to enjoy. The Heritage Center is well stocked with hundreds of exhibits and artifacts from local life over the past 100 years or so. Be sure to visit their collection of restored log buildings. From Almelund, it’s a short drive southeast on Highway 95 to their destination.

This is the proposed route and is subject to change due to weather or road conditions. Be sure to attend the Drivers Meeting at the beginning of the Caravan for the latest information.
