The Warriors continued their playoff run with a win over Plainview Elgin Millville at Eickstein Field in Plainview on Tuesday, May 28. With this win the Warriors are the Sub-Section East Champions.

Casey Storlie would have an impressive day on the mound striking out 10 of PEM’s batters. His quick reactions would lead to him connecting with first baseman Eric Augedahl to get many runners out.

Tate Meiners kicked of a strong inning of scoring in the third, with a one run home run, knocked out of the park. Two more runners would follow him putting Caledonia up to 4 runs.

At third base, Evan Denstad would make some key plays to keep the Warriors ahead in the game.

It would fall to the Warriors’ defense to make plays to finish the game, as PEM’s pitcher made it difficult for Caledonia’s runners to get on base. The Warriors at bat were hurt by fly balls that would result in outs.

PEM would score once in the game. The game ended in seven innings and the Warriors came out on top, 4 to 1.
