Caledonia Boys Basketball participates in Pacesetter

The Pacesetter Showcase Top 100 all-tournament team included Jackson Koepke (76) and Ja’ shon Simpson (73). Jackson Koepke and Ja’ shon Simpson of Caledonia were both named to the all-tournament team at the Pacesetter 100 Showcase held Thursday, July 8, at College of St. Benedict. This was an invitational event that had six girls teams and four boys teams competing, each with eight or nine players, and each given a college name. Koepke averaged 12 points for the state runner-up Warriors this past season and Simpson averaged nine points. At the Showcase, Koepke played for the Houston team that went 3-0 and placed first. Simpson’s team went 0-3 but his play was noticed by the coaches. Both will be seniors next season. Pacesetter, based in Paynesville, conducts basketball and volleyball camps and tournaments.
