6th Grade Environmental Day

Above: Winnebago Springs campground was a busy place on Monday, September 23rd. Here Vaughn Snook (Lanesboro area assistant fisheries supervisor with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources), shows some Houston 6th graders live trout freshly netted from Winnebago Creek. Around 300 youngsters from throughout Houston County learned about numerous outdoor topics at the annual 6th Grade Environmental Day, hosted by the Root River Soil and Water Conservation District.
