Caledonia will be buzzing with activity October 17-19. Celebrity scarecrows will line the streets and storefronts. If you, your organization or school would like to enter this creative contest, you can pick up rules and entry forms at City Hall. On Saturday, October 19, hop on the free “people mover” leaving from Gazebo Park and take a tour of all the scarecrows on display. 

Family Feud is coming to town on Friday, October 18 at 7pm at the Four Seasons Community Center. Sixteen local teams will be competing for bragging rights! Admission is $15 and a light lunch will be available. 

FREE “Fun on the Farm “ fall kids activities will be held Saturday, October 19, from 10am - 2pm. Kids can pick and decorate their own pumpkins, walk through the corn maze in search of the golden pumpkin, bow and arrow shooting, BB gun shooting, pumpkin bowling, and so much more. There will be a FREE bus shuttle that will leave every 30 minutes from the high school to the farm. (In case of inclement weather, the activities will be moved inside.) There will be a drawing for one lucky participant to win a fabulous prize! 

The Turkey Tots Track Meet will be held at the high school track beginning at 2:30 pm . All children, ages 3-6, are encouraged to compete in three events: 50 meter dash, 100 meter dash and the standing long jump. Immediately following the track meet, kids ages 7-10 will enjoy relay races. 

Don’t miss the ALL NEW Vintage and Maker Market from 9am-4pm at Mainspring on Main Street.

Keep your eyes in the sky because the beautiful hot air balloons will be launching from the high school (weather permitting) on Saturday at 7:30am and again at 4:30pm. The Red Baron Flyers will be offering plane rides 1/$35  or 3/$90 to see the beautiful fall colors.

The whole family will want to visit The Haunted Barn at the Houston County Fairgrounds on October 17,18,19,25, and 26 from  5pm-6pm (lights on and a little less scary) and 6pm-9pm (the ultimate terror!) Admission is $5 and all proceeds will help build the much needed hog, sheep and goat barn for the youth livestock projects. A concession stand will be available after experiencing the “Scare at the Fair”.
