Happy Halloween!
Above, a family walks through the Nightmare on Pine Street display. After passing the witch seen on the front page, this scene was next and a ghost popped out of the coffin, catching a few passersby off guard.
The Nightmare on Pine Steet display had scenes like this in evening light and total darkness, giving a good scare to those who dared to walk the path. Caledonia resident Shane Burros set up the display, which is normally held in the city auditorium, but due to COVID-19, it was moved outdoors.
The Caledonia High School Senior Class of 2021 held a 5K walk/race fundraiser titled Halloween Hustle on Saturday, Oct. 31. The route took participants three miles around town, from Smooth Toe to the fairgrounds and back again. Along the way, candy stations were available for kids to collect candy.
Costumed characters ranged from ninjas and Vikings players to witches, monsters and other fun costumes.

Walkers and runners of all ages and using different modes of transportation took part in the event and even the dog had a good time!
