Local businessman Hoyt Zenke has been elected as an Eitzen State Bank director.
Bank president/board chairman Ron Chamberlin said that Zenke has been a valued addition since his appointment during the first quarter of 2019. He joins an experienced and diverse group of seven which includes ESB executive vice president Nathan Wurm, Larry Kruse, president of Hammell Equipment (Eitzen), farm owner and operator Jeff Byrnes, Tom Wiebke, president of Wiebke Produce, and Mike Murphy, a partner with the Murphy Law Office.
Directors are charged with safeguarding investments, signing off on the the bank’s goals, strategies, and policies (which managers will be charged with implementing), approval of those being considered for top echelon management positions, and more.
As the owner of Zenke Realty & Auction Company, “I’ve been in business - between the real estate, auction and appraisal business - for 35 years now,” Zenke told the Argus. “After some consideration, and visiting with some of the officers, it sounded like something that I’d be willing to do...
“It’s a good mix, the group of people who are serving on the board. I’ve enjoyed it so far.”
