Wilmington Church members assemble school kits

By Jan Lee Buxengard

On Sunday, Aug. 29, following the worship service at Wilmington Lutheran Church, members of all ages assembled 109 school kits for Lutheran World Relief missions. Items for the kits were purchased by individuals and the W-ELCA, and also with support funds from Thrivent Financial. Items totaled 436 70-sheet notebooks, 545 each of #2 pencils and ball point pens, and 109 each of ruler, pencil sharpener, eraser, crayons, blunt tip scissors and a drawstring back-pack style cloth bag. The activity was coordinated by the W-ELCA mission committee of Tamitha Peter, Evie Morey and Mona Olson.
